Meet the Mayor & Council
Mayor Leora MacKinnon
I was born and raised in Kimberley, B.C. and moved to Fox Creek in 1981. My husband Lorne and I have two children, Jenn and Cam, and one granddaughter, Tyra.
My municipal career with the Town of Fox Creek started in 1993 as an administration clerk. I worked in several departments, assisted the Town Manager in development, and then advanced to an Assistant Development Officer.
After leaving my job with the Town and spending several years in the private sector, I found myself yearning to return to municipal work so I ran for Council in the 2004 election. I served as a Town Councilor for two years and in January 2007 I became Interim Mayor. In October 2007 I was elected Mayor. I serve on several committees and I am a very proud ambassador for Fox Creek. ...Return to Mayor and Council Page
Councilor Jim Ahn

Fox Creek has been a wonderful home to my lovely wife (Diane) and 3 boys (Steven, Brandon and Ryan) for almost 20 years. Prior to living in Fox Creek, I grew up in Edmonton.
I have been self employed in various businesses for over 22 years and I am currently Vice President of a publicly traded company (Dalmac Energy Inc.) as well as General Manager of Dalmac Oilfield Services.
I stay involved with our community by coaching hockey, volunteering with the Fire Department, serving the Multiplex Society and fund raising or helping various organizations.
My family and I have enjoyed living in Fox Creek with all the amazing residents of our beautiful town and hope to live here for many years to come. ...Return to Mayor and Council Page
Councilor Louis Beloin
I, like many, came to Fox Creek in 1983 in pursuit of work. I only intended to stay a couple of years and then return to Edmonton but as you can see that never happened; I have resided in Fox Creek for 25 years now. I and my wife Sheila together have four beautiful daughters and one grandson. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with them and fishing the numerous lakes around Fox Creek.
I started my career in Fox Creek as a labourer and then I began my carpentry apprenticeship. After a few years I went to work for the Town of Fox Creek as a maintenance person and finished my apprenticeship becoming a licensed Journeyman Carpenter in 1995. Since then I have worked for several businesses in Fox Creek and for a few years I owned and operated my own renovation business; I am currently working as an operator in the oilfield for Pennwest Energy Ltd.
I may have moved to Fox Creek for work but it fast became my home and now I enjoy all that it has to offer. ...Return to Mayor and Council Page
Councilor Brenda Burridge
I have been living in Fox Creek since 1981. I met and married Stephen Burridge in 1996 and we are fortunate to have a wonderful blended family with five great children: Ian, Michael, Katy (mine) along with Samantha and Stephen (his). We also have a sweet little grandson, Kaiden, and a granddaughter Peyton, the Fox Creek New Years baby for 2009.
I decided to run for council because I believe in Fox Creek; it is the best place to live and to raise a family. This is where I plan to stay and watch our family grow. ...Return to Mayor and Council Page

I was born in Holland and moved to Fox Creek in 1978 when I was 4 years old. My wife Tanja and I have two wonderful children, Ethan and Zoe. I work as an Automotive Service Technician at Cory's Engine Repair/OK Tire Fox Creek - our family run business. I have been on the Fox Creek Fire Department for over 12 years and am currently a Captain on the Department. I enjoy participating in Tae Kwon Do. I am also an avid scuba diver and enjoy working on project hot rods. I like to enjoy the outdoors with my family whether it be camping or fishing with my kids. I feel that the Town of Fox Creek is a great place to live and raise a family in. The town has a lot to offer its citizens and I am proud to be a part of the team that is getting this accomplished.

Councilor Grant Mott
I moved to Fox Creek in 1983 when my parents relocated here from Calgary for work. I attended school here and met my wife in high school, with whom I have a two year old daughter. I love to spend as much time with my family as possible. I worked at Mostowich lumber, I have managed a local hotel, and I am presently employed at Apex Distribution. I have many great memories of growing up in Fox Creek, and I am looking forward to many more with my family here.
